Nancy ’87 and Frank Kudla ’85

Bold Campaign Leadership council co-chair leads with impact and invests in student potential

Nancy Kudla ’87 graduated from the first class to include women at the Air Force Academy in 1980 and went on to receive her MBA from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1987. Nancy, a Be Bold Campaign Leadership Council co-chair, is involved in helping start-up companies and running the Kudla Family Foundation with her husband, Frank ’85.

In 2011, they created the Nancy and Frank Kudla Endowed Fellowship in Cybersecurity through their Family Foundation. In 2022, they committed another $700,000 to their Fellowship and doubled the value of their endowment through the Alvarez Research Challenge, established by the late Carlos Alvarez, to match funds and increase their endowment by more than $1 million.

Nancy and Frank say they hope to see more students participate in their fellowship over the years as their endowment continues to grow. They believe that these fellows will conduct meaningful work that will positively reflect San Antonio and UTSA.

AREAS OF PHILANTHROPIC IMPACT

Kudla has made targeted investments in cybersecurity, student scholarships and alumni engagement.
